Restored Facade Unveiled
11 Oct 2011
Watford Palace Theatre is proud to announce the recent renovation of its historic Edwardian facade.
Over the past two months, the building has undergone extensive work to restore its iconic front, as well as additional exciting improvements. Work has included cleaning the building surface; repairing, pointing and painting the brickwork with a fresh colour scheme; refurbishment and decoration of the windows; and restoration of the signs.
In addition, the Theatre now has an extensive floodlighting scheme, new illuminated poster panels and an impressive ‘Palace’ sign running vertically down the front of the newer building. Also, in the foyer, there is a new merchandise kiosk.
We would like to thank all those supporters who contributed to the cost of the project. You have enabled us to restore the building to its original iconic stature, and helped confirm it as a landmark in Watford and gateway to the town centre.
